Having reached Entebbe in the late hours you will be picked up by a Gecko safaris driver /guide and transferred to one of the various hotels in Entebbe to freshen up dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Mabamba island-Murchison falls
your second day will allow you a visit to Mabamba Island while here you will be able to see birds among which are; Goliath heron, Purple heron, Common squaco heron, Black headed heron, Striated heron and many more species. In the afternoon have lunch and set off to Masindi.Here you will have entered the Banyoro territory. Dinner and overnight in Masindi town.
Day 3: Kanio pabidi –falls
Having woken up early enough with packed lunch from the hotel, leave for Chimpanzee tracking and bird watching in Kaniyo Pabidi which has many bird species that will certainly reward you with an amazing birding safari. Proceed to Murchison falls in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodging.
Day 4: Boat launches
Take a cup of coffee early enough you can then head on to the day’s activity which will be a boat cruise and while on the cruise you will see the different bird species among which will be pied king fisher. Return to the lodge for lunch, afternoon boat trip to the bottom of the falls for various amazing water birds. There after you will then head back to the lodging for overnight dinner.
Day 5: Game drives
Morning game drive on the River Nile bank will expose you to special wildlife views of various animals like the Giraffes, Elephants, Buffalos, Uganda kobs and more .In the afternoon hours you will then visit the top of the falls. While there you will view the magnificent falls take pictures to keep the memory. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge or Sambiya River Logde.
Day 6: Budongo forest
This day will take you to yet another destination which will be Budongo forest you will get great animal encounters, incredible fauna and flora a great guide will allow you memories and histories of bird species and the forests existence. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge or Sambiya River Logde
Day 7-8: Kibale national park
Leave early for Kibale National park. You will have your lunch meal in Fort portal. Kibale forest harbors nine primate specie and 325 bird species among which are the Black-capped apalis, the Blue-headed sunbird, collared apalis, and the Blue headed sunbird. Overnight and Dinner at Mantana luxury tented camp or Ndali lodge.
Day 9: Bigodi wetland
Bird Bigodi wetlands in the morning, with a picnic lunch then depart for Semuliki forest. Expect the sport breasted ibis, Northern bearded scrub robin, Capuchin babbler, and lyre tailed honey guide, Maxwell’s black weaver, black winged oriole, red eyed puff back, Red bellied malimbe, African piculet and many more species. Dinner and overnight at Semuliki lodge.
Day 10-11: Birding Semuliki forest reserve
This reserve is located on the western side of the Rwenzori it is Africa’s most ancient. Engage in birding the whole day and then a community walk the following day to the local people and know a little bit about the Bakonjo and the Batwa pygmies accompanied with the visit to the hot Sempaya hot springs. Overnight at Semuliki lodge, National Park Bandas, Semuliki safari lodge.
Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In queen Elizabeth there is a variety for you to choose on but do not miss seeing the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector of huge park IT is really rewarding in very many ways take great memories of it and wait on the 600 bird species that it harbours and you will see most of them. Overnight at Queen Elizabeth safari camp, Ishasha Ntungwe river camp, Ishasha jungle lodge.
At the break of the day, start off for Imaramagambo forest west of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Key species include dark capped yellow warbler, fawn breasted waxbill, black headed batis, Brubru, sulphur breasted bush shrike etc. Overnight and dinner at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Camp.
This forest is situated in Bushenyi district and has a diversity of bird species that include the forest flycatchers, Rwenzori turaco, white naped pigeons and a lot more. While here you can also view some primates butterflies and the amazingly shaped bat caves in Maramagambo forest. Overnight at samba safari lodge, Jacana safari lodge or Mweya safari lodge.
Day 14-15: Bwindi impenetrable
Transfer to another destination which is bwindi impenetrable and harbors 300 bird species great tree species, primates in the forest .The park offers a lot to engage in for a tourist.overnight at mahogany spring’s camp, bwindi view bandas, Engagi lodge. Meal plan F/b
Day 16: Gorilla tracking
Gorilla trekking in Bwndi impenetrable is a no miss activity so with an early wake and packed lunch you will take a cup of coffee and head for briefing about the rules that govern trekking proceed to the forest for the activity that will take you some good hours. When with the gorillas you will take some quality time together take pictures for great memories in the impenetrable forest. There after head for the lodge .overnight and dinner at New Haven lodge, Lake Kitandara bwindi camp, Engagi lodge.
Day 17: Buhoma-birding
From the trek the previous day ,you need a relaxing activity which will be bird watching in Buhoma part of the same park head there after breakfast and proceed to the lodge for relaxation and overnight meal plan F/B.
Day18: Birding -Ruhija
A true birder will surely enjoy the tour to this sector of bwindi impenetrable because it has many bird species. You will have a quick breakfast so as to go through the forest in the morning hours when the birds can be heard whistling in the trees and sighted in big numbers. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija safari lodge, or Ruhija gorilla mist camp.
Day 19: Ruhija
wake up early enough since morning hours are good for bird viewing head to Ruhija sector of Bwindi impenetrable while there you will enjoy elusive sights, and stunning views of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla safari lodge, or Gift of nature lodge, Ruhija campground.
The very last day of your birding experience you will return to Kampala. Make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and a cultural experience. Thereafter be back on the road and drive to Entebbe airport to catch your flight back home on time.
